This course explores the evolution of systematic politics in the U.S., from pre-Civil War abolitionism and post-war social science convergence to the early 20th-century Progressive movement’s alignment with social science. It examines how the Progressive agenda, presented as non-partisan and scientific, drove significant structural changes in the U.S. government.

This course contributes to the completion of the Apprentice Certification in Societal Self Governance.

Tuition: $25 per student.  2 hours.

We do not offer refunds for any of our online Zoom classes. Once a registration fee has been paid, it is non-refundable. We understand that circumstances may change, but due to the nature of our online classes and the resources invested in preparing for each session, we are unable to accommodate refund requests.

In the event of unforeseen technical difficulties or cancellation of a class by Center for Self Governance, we will make every effort to reschedule the session or provide alternative arrangements. However, refunds will still not be issued.
